Accounts and security
When you use the dashboard, we process your email address, profile and verification details, account memberships, and authentication records to operate your account and authorize access. Passwords are stored as hashes. Session cookies and credential records support sign-in, expiry, and revocation. Security messages are separate from optional product updates.
Subscriptions and registry access
When billing is enabled, Stripe processes checkout and billing-portal interactions. Playstack stores provider customer/subscription references, plan status, access entitlements, and billing/audit events to manage your subscription and eligible releases. Registry token records and download evidence can include account and credential identifiers, package/version, time, protocol, and a keyed network-address hash. We use these records for access control, usage reporting, abuse prevention, and diagnosis. A hashed address is not a claim of anonymous data. Protect the copy-once token as a credential, not public profile information.
Optional dashboard product updates
In Account Settings, you can choose release news and occasional early-access invitations. This personal preference is off by default and applies across your accounts. We record the choice, its time, policy version, and email-verification context. Registration, subscription purchase, and registry-token creation do not opt you in. You can change the preference in Account Settings; it grants no paid access and is not automatically merged with the site's pricing and release list.
Pricing and release list
When you request pricing access or subscribe to release updates, we collect your email address and any optional role, tier interest, or project note you provide. We use that information to send access details, pricing information, release notes, research invitations, and closely related launch updates.
Service providers
The pricing and release-list signup is forwarded to the delivery service configured by Playstack. Hosting, email, payment, and operational service providers also process information needed for their respective functions. We do not sell the pricing and release list or share it for third-party advertising.
Site analytics and diagnostics
The site can use Fathom for cookieless pageviews and Sentry for error and performance diagnostics when configured. These serve different purposes from account sessions, billing evidence, and registry download records. Those operational records are not controlled by the product-updates preference.
Email practices
Launch-list messages are designed without tracking pixels. Delivery providers may still retain operational records needed to prevent abuse, process unsubscribes, and diagnose delivery failures.
Your choices
Every marketing message will provide a way to unsubscribe. You can also reply to a Playstack message to ask us to correct or delete your signup information or discuss account data. Turning off updates does not delete account, billing, security, or audit records needed to operate the service. Account deletion and record retention require a separate review; this note does not promise immediate deletion of all operational evidence.
